Kristi and Teresa slept over on Friday night. We stayed up until 0400AM in Cathy’s room just chatting about random things such as different names for different types of skirts and random topics like credit cards. The next day, I woke up early to head to my optometrist appointment. After I came back, I had to pack for Bay Point before we could head out for the day.
We stopped by McDonald’s to eat so we could buy ourselves some Despicable Me 2 minion toys! The girl who rang us up sure had a nice giggle about us being excited about the toys. 😛
Cathy, Kristi, and Teresa all got happy meals. I had no idea they had mini french fries sizes!
We arrived at the Sacramento Zoo after I drove us in circles around McKinley Park. It was a super hot day. We ended up spending about 2 or 3 hours at the zoo, which was perfect because we managed to see everything before the zoo closed at 0400PM. We even rode the little train tour around the zoo before we left! The only thing we did not get to do was ride the carousel. 😦
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
Other random photos:
Kristi decided she wanted to be camera shy, so not many photos of her today!
After the zoo, we went to eat at Roxie. Checking in on Yelp gives a free medium fountain drink, so Kristi and I took advantage of that deal.
Cathy and I shared the Roxie House. Super filling portion, even for sharing half the regular size! After we finished eating, we went to Davis. We picked up LS Alex and decided to go to The Dominoes since Cathy, Kristi, and Teresa has never gone before. We made a quick stop at McDonald’s so Alex could get minion toys too, but while we were there, the rest of us ended up each buying the two minions they had available. The girl who rang us up told us that the toys had been going more towards college students than actual children. Funny!
And then… the minions invaded.
It was a pretty fun and random experience trying to balance all the minions. I love hanging out with my Davis people!
I’ll be less camera shy next time! :p We love that you come and visit too! ❤
