A month ago, Ly found out and told me about the Best Friends for Frosting’s re-launch party being hosted at West Elm. I honestly had no idea what the party was for, but I was very attracted to the words “hand poured soda,” “dessert bar,” and “confetti photo booth.” Turns out Best Friends for Frosting is a website that serves as a daily inspiration guide for stylish and creative living.
When the day of the re-launch party rolled around, Cathy and I met up with Ly at West Elm. We got there about 20 minutes before it was to end. I had no idea what West Elm was either until we got to the store to find out it was a place that sold furniture and housewares. It definitely felt very upscale as everything in the store was very gorgeous.
We walked around the store as we shyly eyed the free stuff available to us. Luckily, there were still some cupcakes left to try at the dessert bar! We could have tried the sodas too, but I think the three of us felt slightly awkward being there as we did not know what to do. (Or maybe that was just me? :P) Before everything ended, we went through the photo booth several times.
The photo booth was owned by Giggle and Riots. I was totally checking out their setup since I plan to make a photo booth for my kids to use at work next Tuesday. It looks like the company creates backdrops according to events they are hired for, which totally amazed me.
Overall, it was a quite fun despite us only being there for a short amount of time. We got to take home some free confetti tubes that I may try to use for my own photo booth next week!
