Davis Chilling

Teresa and Kristi won some supposed facial/makeover raffle, so Kristi invited Cathy and I to Davis to join her since Teresa was unable it. Kristi took the bus to Downtown Sacramento and Cathy met up with her. After I got off work, I met up with them at home and we stopped by Savory Fried Chicken to pick up dinner prior to heading to Davis.

Cathy pretended to be Teresa for the night so she could redeem the raffle prize. The facial turned out to be a salesperson for Mary Kay showing us the different products that they have. When we thought “facial,” we were thinking of being pampered. Instead, we got samples of products and were told to apply them to our face. Hmm…

I felt like we were attending some workshop.

Since Kristi and “Teresa” were raffle winners, they got to try on some colored makeup. Kristi let me take it instead, so it turned out to be me and Cathy making our attempts at putting on makeup. Pretty hilarious!

IMG_7793IMG_7799IMG_7800It may not look like much, but trust me… it was a fail!

IMG_7813Cathy chose a “summer look” and Kristi and I thought she looked like Mulan with her bright cheeks. We also thought she looked like she got beat up because of the bright colored cheeks, so I dubbed the look “beat up by Mary Kay.” šŸ˜› I went for “natural” colors so you can’t really tell as much, but if you saw me in person…. Oh boy!

Overall, the experience was kind of awkward since there were a lot of silences with the salesperson and we didn’t buy anything from her. It was totally not what we had expected but kind of funny since Cathy and I got forced into trying makeup. šŸ˜›

After the lady left, the three of us sat around for a bit listening to music. Around 1000PM, we headed out to West Sac for Cathy and I to try some fresh Krispy Kreme donuts. Cathy bought an assorted dozen to take home, but we each ate a doughnut while we were at the shop.

We spent the next hour slowly walking around Walmart. We all ended up with a little something for ourselves. Then, we drove back to Davis to drop Kristi off and Cathy and I headed back home for the night. šŸ™‚
