For Adrian’s birthday this year, we ended up going to Waterworld! It has been years since I have been to a water park and it turned out to be pretty darn fun. Cathy, Kristi, and Teresa were there too, so it was an awesome day. 🙂
Before we got to Waterworld, we ate at In N Out first. Since we were still full, we decided to just get used to the water first by going into the wave pool and the lazy river. The rest of the day, we went on all the water slides we wanted to go on (aka the ones we were not afraid of :P). Adrian also carried me around and gave me tons of piggy back rides while in the water, which I can totally get used to. 😛 I’m really tempted to get a season pass now since I had so much fun. Haha! 🙂 (Unfortunately, I did not bring out my camera for photos, so thank you Cathy and Adrian for sharing their photos with me!)
After Waterworld, we went back to Adrian’s house to change and relax a bit. Then we headed back out to eat a quick dinner at L&L. Around 0645PM, we finally headed out to the Backstreet Boys concert! The concert was supposed to start at 0700PM, so we thought we were going to be late. It turned out we were right on time since the doors only opened then. We also ended up in the “VIP” parking lot where they did not charge us for parking. It confused the heck out of me, but all went well in the end. *shrugs*
Even though we had lawn seats, we had a great center view of the stage. We also had quite a view of the Mt Diablo fire that was happening very close within the area. It was cray! Aside from that, the weather was perfect outside and the environment was very chill!
DJ Pauly D started the night off then Jesse McCartney performed for about an hour. At one point, Jesse walked off stage without singing “Beautiful Soul” but he came back to sing it! My elementary school fan girl self was incredibly pleased!
Backstreet Boys finally came on stage and did a fantastic job! They mixed in a LOT of oldies with their new songs. It felt so great singing along with them and the crowd!
This was probably the most eventful birthday I have celebrated with Adrian yet. I hope he had as much fun as I did! 😛
