Ada introduced me to the world of lash extensions and I had to go back today for my first fill. I’m not sure if I want to keep them yet since the trusted Delight Hair Salon is two hours away from home, but it gives me a good excuse to explore around. 😀 Today, I brought Cathy and Ly along for the ride.
It took an hour and a half before my lashes were done, but the result turned out pretty decent I thought. My lashes are fuller than the first time I got them done, but I think I may like it this way.
After waiting for Cathy and Ly to come pick me up, we went to Mitsuwa Marketplace with the intentions of getting ramen. The line was too long, so we decided to try the sesame froyo from Matcha Love instead. We got matcha and sesame swirled together, which may not have been the best idea…
While in line, Ly saw a familiar face who turned out to be Youtuber AprilAthena7. Ly bravely approached April and we ended up getting photos with April, Justin, and their adorable baby Liam. We also ended up on their vlog!
Afterwards, we walked over to Paris Baguette so I could try their cute pudding jars! I ended up choosing the mango pudding for us to try. It was quite yummy, but I think I was more excited for the little jar. No lie. 😀
After our unintentional dessert trip, we finally went to get real food at SGD Tofu House. I ordered the dumpling soft tofu and the three of us shared the bulgolgi.
We then proceeded to go check out the Don Burnett Bicycle-Pedestrian Bridge (formerly known as the Mary Avenue Bridge). When I saw a photo of the bridge on my Instagram feed, I knew I had to go! It turned out to be a pretty short walk across, but it sure was a beauty.
Before the long drive back home, we swung by Gong Cha. The honey green tea I got was quite yummy!
If I keep up with the lash extensions, it means I’ll be in San Jose every two to three weeks since that’s how far apart the appointments are typically scheduled. We shall see what happens. It was pretty fun today! 🙂
