Last Sunday, I had seen Christine’s mention about Asha Tea House. I brought it up in a group chat with my friends and within minutes, Long and Stephen gathered a group together for an impulsive trip to Berkeley. What!?
Despite having homework, the guys convinced Cathy to come along and to do her work in the car. 😛
Our food adventure started with Smoke’s Poutinerie. Visiting Canada had made trying poutine a must and Smoke’s Poutinerie goal is to bring the authentic Quebec classic to the rest of the world. Should be pretty legit, right?
Chicken bacon and ranch. Such a dangerous yet delicious combo. *drool*
Next up was Top Dog thanks to Anna’s recommendation. It was within walking distance, so it was back-to-back eating for us. Luckily, I had Cathy to share my food with. Woot!
While making our way to Asha, we stumbled upon this gorgeous wall by digitaldoesntcount. I spotted it from across the street and asked everyone to go to the alley with me so I could take the photo. 😛
Eventually, we made it to Asha Tea House, which we mainly went to to try their alcoholic boba drinks.
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed by the flavors, but maybe I’m just too used to sweeter drinks. (Darn my sweet tooth!) I feel like such an oddball for not understanding why the place is rated so highly, but I’ll give the place props for their cute interior and logo. *nods*
For dinner, we made our way to Dan Sung Sa (aka Porno’s) where we dined on corn cheese, wings, seafood pancakes, and yogurt soju. Oh how I’ve missed the taste of their delicious corn cheese!
Before officially getting dropped off at home, we went to Cool Tea Bar for more boba. My sweet tooth was very satisfied after that drink.
I’m pretty happy that I have friends who are super down for random trips and who also love to eat!
